I found a Harris Model BR Series 1A2 6"-9" Bipod for $74 at walmart. I'm looking bipod for my Savage 10 FP, any suggestion? Is this model will be ok?

Re: What type of bipod should I get?

I prefer the swivel bipds which allow you to quickly level the rifle on uneven terrain. Also, the leg notches are a big plus as they allow you better control of the exact height at which you set the bipod. Specifically, look at the BRM-S (6-9", Swivel, Leg notch).

Re: What type of bipod should I get?

My Walmart only carries Shooters Ridge/Winchester knock offs of Harris. Having owned both the Shooters Ridge and the Harris I HIGHLY recommend the Harris. Also the swivel is much nicer, my buddies is swivel, and I regret not getting it. My vote is the BRM-S as well!

+1000 on the Harris BRM-S with leg notches i just ordered one from EABCO.com. I think it was like $110.00 with a pod lock and shipping. I had it in two days to.

Just my .02

I found it in 2 different places. in Walmart:

and triad:

Is it a same? </div></div>

Those are the same. Buy from Triad and support those who support the Hide! Not to mention, you'll get a much better price and service through Triad. They can also equip you with a podlok for your bipod.

Re: What type of bipod should I get?

I had several Harris non-swivel bipods and slowly replaced them all with the swivelling Harris bipods. They are that much better in opinion. Muche easier to correct the cant in your rifle on uneven ground.

Re: What type of bipod should I get?

Thanks for all the positive comments here about Triad. I use to carry the other version of the Harris. After having the legs collapse several times on a personal rifle, I decided they were shit, and stopped carrying them in the field or in the Triad store.

Here is a direct link to the product, just select which height you need:

Both sizes are almost always in stock.

Pod-Loc info.
Here is a link to the Pod-Loc in the Triad store:

KMW is in the middle of a product transition with the Pod-Locs right now, so they are very hard to find. I sold out this past week, so please dont ask

The gap in supply was suppose to be 6-7 weeks, which is almost up, they should start shipping again soon. For more product info on the KMW Pod-Loc here is a link:

Re: What type of bipod should I get?

Good luck, hope you enjoy it. Make sure you play with it so you know all the different positions/setups it can be used for, some you would have never thought of before.
