What's going on over at Rainier Arms? I can't give them my money, they don't have any stock. Particularly on uppers, lowers and a large portion their barrels.

Click there notify button. You will be surprised how soon you might get a email stating they have more.

All I can say is when you get the email you had better order ASAP because I'm sure several others received that email as well.

Remember 4 years ago.. couldn't find factory ammo, a primer, AR or Glock mag, any AR parts.. took almost 2 years for stock to replenish. Hence the sales on everything earlier this year though.. stock bloat.

Re: What's going on over at Rainier Arms

I have been on the notify list for AR uppers for a couple months at Rainer Arms. Then a hide vender quoted me one and I said I will take it. No word so I ask a couple times how to pay and add to order and he said sold to someone else. Like no big deal, I just sold it to someone else after you agreed to buy it. Then, on the phone he tried to sell me some off brand crap uppers for 60.00 like that would make it right! I have no idea how people stay in business like that. Hint, he has 513 post this 30 days. I wonder if anyone got anything??? I wonder who got my upper??? Some people's word means nothing I guess.

Agreed.

But, if the pattern repeats, in about 24-30 months, we'll see a glut of such items with subsequent corrections in price.

While hardware dropped in price somewhat, reloading components just barely started coming back in stock and prices never returned to pre-2008 prices and are 50% higher in many cases.

I am all about notify, both at Rainier and Midway. Perticularly for LMT, Noveske lowers, Noveske barrels and Vltor, Noveske uppers.

Your right though, I am going to need to be quick on the order button. Lord know's how many people are on the notify list.

Re: What's going on over at Rainier Arms

It took 6 months for me to get 2 stripped lowers form Armalite. The notify button really works. I ordered as soon as I got the email. In less than two weeks from the time I clicked the notify I had my noveske upper.

Re: What's going on over at Rainier Arms

It's everywhere. I can usually find what I'm looking for on DSG, Midway, or Brownells... usually but not lately.

Anybody have an extra BCG laying around?

Re: What's going on over at Rainier Arms

Rainier is getting hit by the pre-election buying craze likw every other dealers and supplyers have a hard time keeping up with demand, best thing to do is place your order and wait.
hope this helps.

Re: What's going on over at Rainier Arms

Was there yesterday...are you looking for something specific or just an AR upper as of now they show 5 different brands of stripped uppers IN STOCK.

Sorry but your post is a bit scewed. They have stuff just not the stuff you want. Chances are whatever it is you are looking for nobody else has either or the price will be much more than RA.

Have wanted a 10.5" LMT upper myself for a while...not RA fault LMT isnt getting them out to their dealers.

But yes agree pickings are slim but thats across the board not just with Rainer.

No problem, I just happen to notice that the 10.5 LMT was in stock earlier this week.

To the OP, things do seem to be getting tougher to find. I have been helping a couple relatives build up rifles and I have advised them, if they know what they want for key parts (particularly barrels, BCGs, and LPKs) to not wait if they can find them in stock. We haven't run into a problem yet, but it can take some looking.

Regarding Rainier, I like them a lot, but have had the notify function fail, so I would recommend checking every day or two if there is something specific you want. On more than one occasion, I have had a notification in place and checked to find the part in stock and I never received an email. Hopefully it's just me, but it has happened more than once on uppers and barrels. Other times it seems to work correctly.
