Who wouldn't like fresh Pheasant?? However I will admit I have never seen one that was killed in the road?? I know alot of guys out west hunt from the road. Driving up and down the corn rows. But I never seen one laying in the road. I would bet that photo was staged. Tom.

Maybe if I saw it get hit. But I'd have to be pretty hungry before I went around collecting dead animals off the road for the grill. I watched a wild turkey one time trying to make it across six lanes plus the medium on I-95.
He started out fine. About 20' above traffic but by the time he got to the far side, he flew right into the bed of an F-150. It didn't kill him but he was down for the count.
This older couple stopped and picked him up. guess he went to good use.
