Where are ATHLON scopes made

Why Athalonia, of course... It's in the name.

Actually, a quick google search:

Google-fu is not strong in this one...

“Made in Japan” has some dubious usages. A production line in Malaysia run by Malaysians supervised by a single Japanese National can be stamped “made in Japan”.

That’s how most cheap made in Japan watches are made.

I’m not sure where the Cronus is made (exact location) but most optics coming from Japan come out of Light Optical Works (LOW) which are known for great optics. I’m not sure currently what’s made there but Burris XTRII 1-8, NF NXS and Sightron SIII that I’ve owned were made there. All have been 100% reliable which is my biggest concern over anything else when it comes to buying rifle optics

Definitely. I wasn’t disparaging quality. It’s just interesting how liberal “made in xxx” can be.

For instance. A lot of expensive luxury Italian goods are made what are essentially migrant run sweatshops located in boats within Italian national waters.

The USA is one of the most strict counties on their labeling.

But the point is, whenever possible DONT BUY COMMUNIST CRAP. Ill admit I do buy some but only if I cant find something made elsewhere.

FUCKTHECOMMIES and Fuck Joe Biden.

I couldn’t find an article via a quick Google search on my phone (it’s not a hot topic currently), but I’ve seen it written about in various places — by profession, i’m a professor of global supply chain management so always on the lookout for interesting cases to discuss on class.

This is the closest that I could find: https://ww.fashionnetwork.com/news/made-in-italy-by-chinese-workers,377237.html

Maybe the boats aren’t needed anymore because Italy/EU is now so fucked that they don’t bother the factories filled with Chinese illegals.

@308pirate

This is apparently the new Athlon scope factory 😁

If you're a professor surely you must have something more authoritative than google searches.......
