Where to get misc. small parts/hardware to finish AR build?

There's a box of random AR parts in my workshop that's grown to the point where it's almost ready for me to assemble it into a functioning rifle. The lower is completed, but otherwise I have to put everything else together.

I did an inventory and it looks like I need:
Delta ring assembly
Handguard cap
Forward assist

Do you guys have a preferred place where I can find the small stuff so i can bundle with shipping?

ALSO, I picked up an A2 front sight/gas block, but it didn't come with any taper pins or hardware of any kind (and the barrel i got isn't cut for pins). I kind of don't want to cut the barrel for taper pins, so I was thinking about using set screws from the bottom of the front sight assembly. There's already a detent in the bottom of the barrel, so all I have to do is tap one of the holes for a set screw and drill/tap a hole where the bayonet lug was (I'm in NJ so I had to remove the lug). Should I just get the hardware at Home Depot or is this a common enough thing that there's a kit out there somewhere?

I've built a couple of bolt rifles and done some minor work on my pistols, so I'm not totally inept, but this will be my first AR build, so feel free talk down to me like I'm a 3rd grader.

Thanks in advance.

Primary arms, brownells, midway.

but if you are running a FSB, the sight will need to be pinned in place. Set screws are only good for protected gas blocks.

"but if you are running a FSB, the sight will need to be pinned in place. Set screws are only good for protected gas blocks."

Could you explain this a little more?

I'm new to AR builds, so I don't understand the difference between the A2 front sight/gas block and a protected gas block.

You might want to spend the $ to get your FSB pinned if you're going to use a handguard that's held in by a delta ring assembly.

Why? Because your handguard is held in place by tension from the spring in the delta ring assembly.

I've seen set screw FSB's on rifles with free float handguards, but never with drop-in handguards. I'm not saying it's not possible, but there's probably a reason it's not done.

Thanks.

I was exploring the set screw route because that's what a local guy did with a couple of his budget builds, so it was the first recommendation I got.

Kind of like in this video:

With that said, I haven't started anything yet, so I'll look more into pro's/con's of doing it that way. If pins make the most sense I'll go that way.

I'm looking forward to this being my first Frankenbuild, so I'm not worried about resale value if I scratch the shit out of things.

the height of the FSB creates leverage making it easier to be manipulated when bumped. the force from the delta ring assembly and then the momentum from the BCG during each cycle.
