Gunsmithing Where to Look for Devcon

I started a weekend project thinking I had enough Brownell's Steel Bed left over from previous jobs to get it all done.
Now I'm out and need more for the next phase of the project.

Are there any auto or chain stores that typically stock Devcon?

I have not had any luck finding Devcon in any chain stores, not the one used for bedding at least

must be different, never bought any , just saw "devcon" and kind of menatally filed it....

No.
I think what you are seeing chpprguy is devcon glue or epoxy they make several different type adhesives.
Have to order, unless you live in and area that it is industry/manufacturing driven then some of the out of the way factory suppliers may carry it. You can go to Devcon's site and check for retailers by zip code. I did and checked with all three listed in my area with no luck and finally placed an order at Brownells.

I just didn't want to spend half the day tomorrow looking for a unicorn.

Ace has Devcon products, but not the one used for bedding. Devcon 10110 is what you need for bedding.

I've seen JB Weld, both quick and reguler versions, in the WallyWorld Autmotive Department just yesterday.

grainger 110 aluminum ,it is about 40 bucks but yo can do several rifles with one 40 bucks worth.

I got the 10oz tubes of JB from AutoZone for 15 bucks OTD. I didn't find Devcon or MarineTex around me and I wasn't going to drive an hour to the Marine Supply place to get the Marine Tex for 40 bucks per 14 oz.

So far the JB is working fine, if it breaks down in 500 rounds then maybe I'll spring for the more expensive stuff next time.
