Hey guys,

Putting a V-22 in a manners PRS2. Which bottom metal do y'all recommend for this combo? Should I just do a voodoo bottom metal or is there anything else more reliable?

FYI will be running voodoo mags.

What does manners recommend? That is what you should use. Stock builder is the one who creates the inletting for the DBM. When I had AG Composites build a stock for my Vudoo they had different options for Hawkins Precision and Badger DBM's even though they are both a M5 bottom metal standard. I compared both at MHSA when I bought the Hawkins and there are small differences dimensionally between them. Comparing the HP to my Grayboe DBM (stock the Vudoo originally was ordered with from VGW) had a lot of big dimension differences. The grayboe will not fit into the inletting done for the HP on the AG Composites stock, it is too big. The grayboe also is double the weight of the HP (3.2 vs 6 oz without screws)

Vudoo has also changed their mag dimensions a little bit. My original mags fit fine in the grayboe DBM, but are very tight in the Hawkins Precision, so tight that I have to pull them out with a good amount of force. The new mag supplied with the Barreled action drops free without any sticking. Measuring both with a dial caliper gives about a .020 - .025" difference in width at the front of the mag and that is the tight point on the HP DBM.
