Hodgdon makes the Winchester powders now and I'm looking to see what Winchester Supreme 780 is under the Hodgdon label.

Does anyone know?

The shop near me in Charleston doesn't carry much of anything under the Win label, but they have a pretty good sampling of the Hodgdon labels.

Thanks.

Re: Which Hodgdon powder = Win Supreme 780?

780 was developed for the WSMs and SAUMs. It is "close" to 4831SC (not interchangeable weight for weight)

I use it in WSMs and SAUMs because it's dense but find no advantage in larger cases over 4831 EXCEPT that it goes through a measure +-1/10th.

Hodgdon website has many loads for it in the "data" section.

If Hodgdon has the same powder packaged in their own label, the Hodgdon Load Center will list duplicate loads for both powders.
