Night Vision which one ps 32 or ls64 ?

I am looking for help on making choice between the these 2 flir units. I will be using more it open woods out to 200-250yds on foxes size animals will the ps32 work and is the ls64 worth the extra money also where is the cheapest place to get flir at thank you

I picked up a ps-32 for less than $2k off of eBay. It was used but I couldn't tell. You will be fine with the ps-32 or maybe the ps-24 if you are only using it a couple hundred yards. The 64 has greater than 9 hertz which means there will be no lag in scanning. For way less than half the price, 9 hz is plenty for me. If you got money to burn go for the 64. If you are on a budget get the 24. If you are not in a hurry, monitor eBay and steal a 32 for less than 2k.

I am meeting a forum member in an hour to sell my PS32 so I can upgrade to an LS64. PS32 will definitely work for detection at the size/distance you describe but you will not be able to definitely ID critters. Cottontails show up as a dot at 200. If used in conjunction with gen3 NV and a good illuminator you should be fine with the 32. Thermal to scan and detect, gen3 to id and shoot. Nothing will get by you. I hunt in south texas and have 1500 yd senderos that I hunt on. Just want to get a bit more range/definition....still not sure if it is worth 3k more but I'm going to find out! I got my 32 used off predator masters forum from someone upgrading as I am now and am selling it for 100 less than I got it for. I figured I got to use it for a few months for 100 and the guy I'm selling it to is getting a great deal on a fine unit in great shape. If I were U I would look for a similar deal, flir has a great cs dept and warranty does not require registration. If u want a new one DVOR has 32s for 2599 on occasion....register with them and they will send u daily emails with sales (they are affiliates with optics planet). Also check marine sites, the MS series is the same and can be found for less sometimes. Check out this link for info:

For detection purposes, a PS-32 or PS-24 will certainly allow you to detect fox sized critters out to 350 yards or so.

Both sky pup and I have PS32 and a LS64. The LS64 is a top end performances the 35mm lens,higher resolution imager, and 30hz are Great upgrades to have. That said 300-400 yards my ps32 detects most ever critter so its a great value and solid system. I say buy the best you can afford and be happy you have a thermal!

I am getting pretty good at IDing critters out to 250 yards now with the LS64, deer, pigs, bobcats, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, possums, rabbits, etc.

The PS-32 is much more challenging for ID purposes, but you will know something is there to go investigate....

had a 32 and it was great went 64 and won't look back, detection is close to the same but you can ID with the 64 much easier

I've got the ps32 and it looks decent. I used to say it looked great but I recently looked thru a m24.... I shouldn't have lol! I can't justify getting a thermal for $6k or so if it doesn't mount to a rifle. I just use it to see if something is there then shoot with NV.
