Which PRC for 1k yards and in

I thought I was out of the Long Action lust, sold my Fuzion action and one of my blanks, but the chassis and second blank didn't sell. Went to the range the other day and decided I want back in the long action game for 1k yard range games. The situation is I have a long action chassis and one 7mm blank, but sold all of my 7mm brass. Have a stockpile of 6.5mm heavy bullets, so should I go back in at 7mm PRC with the blank I have and not buy projectiles, or build a 6.5prc and buy a barrel and brass? Currently have (2) 6.5CM rifles built, as well as a 6CM, and brass for a 6GT (just need a barrel).

I know its a "6 in one hand, half dozen in the other" scenario, but the furthest we can stretch out close to home is 1k yard range. Not really used for hunting, but would like the ability to throw it in a HNT chassis later on. What would you do is the question, 6.5PRC vs 7PRC?

You've got 2 6.5 creedmoor rifles already, honestly they will do everything you need 1000 and in. I'd build the 7mm just to have a rifle with a little more differentiation than there is between 6.5 creedmoor and 6.5 PRC. And find a place to stretch it out every once in awhile.

Continue to use your 6GT, 6CM, and two 6.5CMs for your 1K yard maximum usage.

Out to about 650, a relatively stout 6CM load is going to hang pretty well with your two magnum choices anyway...and you'll get comparable barrel life too with less component cost.

Aside from that, the 6.5 PRC is going to be a little less harsh on the shooter, and you already have some components to try in it. 7 PRC is going to give you a bit more horsepower, and not overlap as much with what you already have.
