I managed to bend the hell out of my Redding 6.5x47 type "S" decap assembly, and need to replace it completely. I cannot find any decap assembly listed for the 6.5x47 on Midway's site. Does anyone know the correct decap assembly to order?

Thanks,
Josh

Suggestion! Buy the LEE Universal Decapping Die and decap your brass with that! It is one tough peice of equipment, you cannot break it. I decap everything one a seperate press typically at the range and toss my brass into a 2 liter bottle filled with water and soap.

Do yourself a favor and get one.

I also bought a Lee Hand Press to use at the range to deprime the brass. I also sit and watch the Boob tube and deprime stuff with it. That way I don't have to tie up my main press to do it.

Since I started using wet tumbling with SS Media. De-capping at the range after each string tossing the brass right into a 2 liter bottle filled with warm water, Dish soap, and a teaspoon of Citranox keeps the carbon from hardening and makes the tumbling and cleaning that much easier.

Hope this helps.

Youu CAN break a Lee decapping die and it isn't hard at all. Just run it down when you're jamming into a piece of Berdan primed brass.

That should not do it either. The Lee De-capping die has a slip type decapping pin that will push out the top of the die before you break the pin. I have run a couple pieces of Berdan thru it and both times the decapping pin pushed up out of the die! All you have to do is loosen the lock nut on top of the die and push the decap pin back down and re-tightne the nut.
