The reason for this thread is I'm unfortunately consolidating to 1 rifle right now.

The gun the scope will be going on will have 23" Rem Varmint Profile barrel in 6.5 creed and I'm trying to find a carbon Manners MCS TA or T4A right now so I'm thinking should come in around 12-14 pound range depending on scope.

I want a reticle that will be easy to pick up from low power for hunting situations but still be something I could use for classes or comps if I start.

Would something like the H59 in the XRS or ERS be easy enough to pick up or are there any FFP scopes that have an easy to pick up reticle <5x that also tops out >20x?

Or would I be better off going with SFP like an ATACR / NXS or are there any other high quality SFP scopes out there with nice turrets and reticles? Sightron maybe and I know Zeiss has some but their reticles are limited.

What would you do if you were in my situation and wanted a reticle that was easy to use at low power and topped out above 20x.

Don't suggest getting a cheap hunting rifle and scope because I already know about that option.

Edit to Add: Budget would be anything ATACR and under and I've already got an XRS with G2DMR and it's not the most confidence inspiring in the last few minutes of legal hunting on 4.5x so wanting something that I could get by with in that type of situation.

Illumination would work for lower light but it would also need to be daylight visible if the reticle is really hard to pick up at low power also.

There are a lot of great reticles out there it comes down to a personal preference. For a great price Vortex offers great options even in there PST and the HS-T scopes. There are not a lot of scopes that are high power that have close to daytime brightness. The Kahless has close to daytime brightness.

If I had to narrow my question down, it would be what reticle is the best balance of usability at lower powers and not covering too much of the target at higher powers?

I'm trying to decide if I'll have to go with SFP or if there is an FFP reticle that will work for what I want.
