Which Side Weights for MPA?

I'm looking to get some side weights/rails to add weight and to let me grip the forend better. Either option is roughly the same cost and added weight. Anyone have opinions on which option would be better/preferred?

I'm looking at either the:
MPA Side Rails and GreyOps Weights

or

GreyOps MPA Side Rails
I used to have the GreyOps Side weights but recently upgraded all mine to the GreyOps XL side rail weights. The knurled top surface of the XL weights helps with grip. Combined with the MPA lightweight buttstock kit parts, I was able to remove all the MPA internal weights and still have it balance properly but with a reduced overall weight.

What MPA chassis do you have? The side rails are made for the flat sided forends to add some width and make it closer to a Pro but if you have a Pro you don't need it. Below is a pic of the Side Rail on an ESR(L) compared to the Pro(R). The second link you posted is actually a weight with knurling on top and similar to the standard weights. Not really a "side rail" in the same sense. Also a pic below on the red chassis.

I have an MPA PMR Pro II which I believe is the ESR chassis.

I haven’t shot any matches yet but I’m looking to try out PRS. I tried shooting positional at the range and I was having trouble staying on target (mostly inexperience) but then someone next to me had me hold their weighted rifle off the same bag and it was significantly easier to steady.

This leads me to believe I need weights but I’m not sure what the best profile for that is, be it the side rails and weights or the standalone weights.

To complicate that further, I see that MPA released the vengeance chassis and one of the features is a thinner forend. At this point I really have no idea what the best route to go is.

Get the MPA side rails and then add the weights outside of it as needed for balance. The side rails add width so when you set it on a bag it will settle better with the larger footprint.

No down side to the width and it's not overly wide where it causes any issues. People still using plates under rifles so still a need for some width. I just like the feel of the width of the Pro on a bag even without the plate. It sits better and gives a more stable position than thinner options I have tried.

Apparently I didn't read the description carefully enough. I thought you could use the XL Weights stand alone but I guess you need the MPA Side Rails either way. I guess the whole width conversation is a moot point for my specific situation. It is interesting to see the new Vanquish with the more narrow forend though as DeathBeforeDismount was saying.
