Okay, looking to ensure compliance with 922r- I'm looking for someone who can machine me a new trigger, disconnector or hammer. Might even look at having all three or two of three done. This would be on an M1 and an M3, which use the same fire control group as far as I know.

The M3 is my main concern as I can get enough parts for the M1 when looking at the surefire forend to make that compliant. No one makes an aftermarket forend for the M3 though; I can get a stock and follower, that's it. Which means I need at least one more of part on the ATF's list- I'd prefer two parts just to be safe.

So who could do this and have it not end up costing me a crazy sum of cash?

Thanks!

Okay perfect- I'm going to double check to see that the hammers on my M1 and M3 are the same (almost positive they are), then order it up! Thanks!

Out of curiosity, as I feel like I'm missing something here...Why do you need to make it compliant? You'll forgive my lack of putting this is better terms, I'm having a brain fart, but, it's a big name that sells tens of thousands of shotguns every year...there's no way every one of them is illegal?

I have a feeling I'm going to feel like an idiot when the simple truth is pointed out to me haha But I've been thinking, can't figure it out, and it's bugging me, so please, inform me!

922r is the ban on importing or domestic assembly of imported nonsporting guns. In order to upgrade some of the parts on the benellis, like extended mag and collapsible stock, the gun can't have more than 10 imported parts so guys swap parts to us mfg parts to be compliant. I am no expert so start here...

Been away from the thread for a couple days but yeah... that's the reason. Adding 2rds mag capacity and a stock with a pistol grip turns my otherwise sporting shotgun into a civilian slaughtering "assault" shotgun
