This was the first rifle I ever bought for myself, it was a Weatherby Vangurard in 7 mag. I had no rests, bags, or bipods, so I just rolled up towels, leaned against my car, and shot. At that time, I'd never even heard of a gun forum, lol. It's probably about 5 degrees F.

When it's sunny out you can see pistol bullets like neon signs for huge amounts of distance. It's like shooting tracers. My 2nd favorite thing to do in the snow... right next to finding a place that lacks snow.

In the south, snow is about as rare as an honest politician. But if you want to drop me a new PRS rig I will gladly rent a snow machine and give it the ol Alabama try.

I'm thankful NRL22 keeps me shooting every month, especially through winter.

I have a difficult time getting my eyes to focus with snow on the ground. My pupils are going crazy, causing the target to go in and out of focus. For you guys that shoot with snow on the ground, do any of you use any kind of tinted filter on your scope?

I've been thinking about getting one. I see they are popular in Europe, but not in North America. Too many fair weather shooter this side of the Atlantic?
