Rifle Scopes Who has had to deal with Kahles for scope repairs?

I had my 624i elevation turret not go on to it second revolution and the red indicator won't pop up. I think it's locked up inside some how. Any information on your experience get a scope fixed would be great.

Sent one in a few years ago (2018) for a canted reticle. Went to Swarovski here in the states first who sent it overseas. Almost 5 month process.

Thanks Mountic not what I wanted to hear. I am going to contact them Monday. I have used S&B service and it was great. Jerry really knows his stuff when it comes to repairing scopes. I am going to Shot Show so I guess I can see if that help talking to them there.

Take the scope with you, and maybe hand it off to them there... Might help expedite the process if you hand it off direct...

Yeah, don’t take the scope with you to shot and hand it off. First of all, they don’t want to deal with bringing more back from shot show than they brought and they don’t want people dropping warranty shit off at a trade show showcasing products. Waiting two weeks to hand it to someone at shot who is not the warranty department and who has to get it back from shot and deal with all the other stuff plus that is absolutely not going to be faster than just shipping it back to the warranty department. Chances are if you get an RMA Monday it will be to Kahles by the end of the week and probably even land in Austria before shot.

When I had to send my 624 in it took a while, I believe around 6 months. Part of the reason I sold the thing.

Make a video of the handoff and post it to social media to add to the pressure for a quick turnaround.

Up till yesterday it had been a great scope no issues tracking was flawless and I like the glass. I will get it boxed up so I can get it sent out Monday. I guess that will start the clock ticking...lol

Pretty much the same thing here. I had a K16i that wouldn't track and went in for repair. I don't recall the exact amount of time it took but I know it took a while. Pretty sure it was 3-4 months.

Well sent my K624i off UPS today so I guess the clock is ticking. When I spoke with the repair department they said they are working on cutting down repair time. Hope that's true. I do have a back up scope it's Eotech Vudu 5-25x56 I will be using.

I have twice. Took a few months each time but they repaired them well and there were no issues.

They also replaced an optic with a brand new one with a reticle of my choice because of a "flaw" they found so that was pretty nice of them.


I've had fairly good experiences honestly other than the lead times. We are all spoiled a bit by vortex just casting some black magic shit and materializing a scope in front of you.

They definitely have the capabilities to work on scopes here, I’m not sure why some have to go back to Austria. Some Swaro scopes have been assembled in the US for a while now.

Dead K16i, took 3-4 months. Optic that came back failed, 3 months, replaced with a new one. I sold it.

Glass / IQ was great, I don’t know how anybody serious could use or recommend them based on the ratio of cost to durability I experienced.

Service was kind and on top of it, shipping back and forth to Europe did not help accelerate the timeline.

sent my K624I in for the coating flaking off inside the tube, and getting stuck on the glass. it had to go to Swarovski then they batch out a bunch of warranty to work to Austria (or gernamy I cant remember) for the repair. during convid19 so it was about 4 months I think. the rep from swarovski was great. he emailed me with updates in where my scope was in the processing line all the way from New Hampshire HQ till it was back to my door.

my buddy had his scope damaged at the grind and there was a damn Swarovski rep THERE and he wouldn't touch it and barely looked at it. just gave him a business card and went through the same process everyone else does. they were a major sponsor. I assume they weren't expecting to have to do field repairs on shattered glass.

I got the scope in 4/14 so almost 10 years. I have a secondK624i I pick up in 5/15. This is the first issue I have ever had with a Kahles.

My experience with my k16i units has been the opposite, while one of them is a safe queen just due to my time, the other two have been beaten to SHIT and Ive only had one failure and it was certainly me javelining the gd thing into a rock once.

Same. I dropped one onto a tile floor from 6ft up, landed square on the front objective. Didn't even lose zero, not a scratch on it. Over the next 2 years it was bonked and banged on all sorts of things, no issues.

I had the parallax knob go south on my 6-24. They had to send it back to Austria for repairs. I think I had it back in 5 weeks after I sent it out. They fixed it perfectly for no cost

Update: Scope shipped on the 10th UPS says it will be here on the 15th. So ended up being 3 months to get it repaired. Not as fast as Vortex or Schmidt& Bender BUT it did have to go all the way to Austria and back. I am ok with the time frame it took.

I just sent mt K16i in for a loose eye bell. I had to ship it on my dime.

It was delivered yesterday so the process is just starting. I'll update my thread and this one whenever anything significant happens.

Yes you do end up paying the shipping one way. I did ask them to return to me UPS because there in a UPS Customer Center about 2 miles from my house and I have them hold it there for pickup.

I sent them a K624 for a reticle swap. Disappeared in customs in Austria... They sent me a brand new scope with the reticle I wanted, and I didn't have to pay for the reticle swap.

My illumination went dead on a Kahles 3-18x50. I shipped it just before Christmas, and I have the scope back in roughly 2 months. It goes through Swarovski in Rhode Island.

I have my own repair thread I updated but I wanted to add it here since the thread title is more specific to Kahles repair service.

Just got my K16i back from Swarovski/Kahles. I shipped it on 9 APR and received it back 27 JUN, so 11 weeks and change door to door. That puts the time estimate right in the window of 10-12 weeks.

Along with my reported issue (loose eye bell), they went through the whole thing and it seems like I pretty much have a new scope other than the housing, so fantastic customer service from Swaro/Kahles.
