I think the the Browning A bolt is a 3 anyone else?

Do any of the custom guys do it or are they all mostly just variations on the Remington?

I have built quite a few rifles on the Thompson Center Venture action, it is a 3 lug 60 degree bolt thrown. You can get a 20 MOA HD base from EGW and XLR makes a chassis for it.

The Texas Magnum I think is a 3 lug

Their is also the PGW Coyote/Timberwolf actions.
Although they have a 90 degree bolt throw, they have three lugs.

The new Barrett Mrad is on a 3-lug action. Actually, a 6 or 9 lug pattern similar to the badger.

It functions like any other 60* throw action, just like the 9 lug (3 rows of 3) Weatherby Mk V.

TacStock: We're not dealing with a chair here. I don't think the BR guys with their Kelbly/Bat/etc actions tend to agree that a 3-lug is by definition more accurate. Hence my interest in the question.

Three lugs are by their design will have three points of contact distributed at 120*.

Their downfall is the shortened helix to open - and for bag (benchrest) shooters this can be an issue

BTW Kelbly / Stolle are two lug actions (and are about 10 minutes from me)
