So I know some folks, a few don’t even like dogs, because they are messy and a responsibility, yet later had a kid.

I mean no nurturing spirit, can’t even manage to fit their life around a dog who can basically care for itself with you gone as early as late puppy hood

Is it because it’s what you’re sposed to do, like getting a degree in uhh anything

Or a religious marketing thing?

I totally get some folks, they make sense as parents, but the ones who all of a sudden DECIDED to have a kid after not wanting to even want to be responsible for a pet?

I get the natural parent types, I get the stupid ones who can’t manage to fuck without having a litter, but the calculated people who all of a sudden decide to have one 🤷‍♂️

Because the only way to prop up the “economy” is to produce as many workers/spenders as possible…the only way to prop up the “religion” is to produce as many worshipers as possible…the only way to prop up the “ideology” is to produce as many brainwashed ideologues as possible…because the process feels good…

I guess what I’m saying is that it depends on who you ask.

I already “do me” and if you get hit by a bus I’ll still have dinner tonight just the same.

Twas a question, perhaps the larger question is why a open question appears to have personally hurt you?

No hurt trust me.... Why do you care what other people do with their lives?

More of a anthropological musing

But I guess I do care a little bit, I’m going to encounter these kids in my life and possibly have to interface with them. Having oops kids, and let’s reaffirm our group identity or let’s do adult things kids, that doesn’t make for making my life any easier when I just want to order a damn steak, or want my tires installed without chewing my rims up.

Ive always thought that having/wanting children is the most selfish thing a person can do. Some people tell me that is backwards. When I look at some people and its 100% obvious they hate life, it affirms my thoughts. I cant imagine choosing to have a child and that child spent their entire life depressed or with some sort of substance abuse.

Glad others elected to continue the gene pool, because I wont.

Funny thing is.....I love kids. Much rather converse with them than adults.

Some people shouldn’t reproduce. That’s obvious

Some people even preach that others shouldn’t reproduce. While their own parents wish said “preacher” would have been a drain baby or a drip line on a headboard

To each their own

No, I think it’s just that leftists are simply misanthropic in general, and this is why they’re only happy when oppressing people.

A leftist loves “humanity” and hates all people. A conservative (read actual Liberal) hates humanity and loves people.

It’s quite a difference, and why leftists become socialists and communists, but visiting that kind of depressing slavery and torture doesn’t appeal to a conservative.

It’s also your gobsmacking arrogance. You are totally ignorant of the inestimable joys of parenthood and family, and I’d just as soon keep it that way, because every less one of you is one less I have to deal with when you finally crater this country.

sad as it is It's probabily one of the greatest documentaries ever made it totally describes too many people in this country and many others .
Except I.Q is not heritable. Two total fucking morons could give birth the next Einstein. What you guys are preaching is what the founders of eugenics believed. It was the basis for the idea that by allowing these lower humans to kill their babies, it would improve society, because "undesirable people were out breeding desirable people." The problem is not stupid people having babies. Its bad parenting, and lazy parenting. 9 out of 10 fathers I see at the park are huddled up talking bullshit, leaving their kids to their own devices, rather than actually taking time play with them. I think most kids today are given an I-pad and TV for a nanny, when they are not at school.

A lot of people have kids for the pay check, or they are illegals, and they don't care about lying, 5 kids single mother, actually has two kids, and husband that drives a truck. They make more than we do, at both work and with their welfare payments. Upon finding out another mexican lady was struggling, she told her, if you want to live easier, you just need to learn to lie better. They don't give two shits about laws or the country. When they get caught, they will head home to Mexico where they have been sending a lot of our money.

Until you have kids, you won't have a clue and anyone that believes that they can explain it to you is an idiot. People have kids for a variety of reasons. It may be a short list that is common amongst people but that is irrelevant. Until you have your own kids or adopt, if that is your mindset, you don't realize what they do for your life.

I feel sorry for people that never do as the process of teaching, nurturing and seeing them prosper is one of the greatest joys in life. Not saying that it always turns out that way. There are some monumental lows as well. But in both cases, the experience teaches you MUCH about yourself. It makes you grow as a person.

You will never understand it, until you go through it.

Frankly, I Im not all that impressed with humanity and think human reproduction should be banned, give the world a fresh start.

Get a puppy. They'll neve grow up to be a fucktard liberal or go out and shoot up a Wally World.

Family.

What does it mean and why is it important?

I think he's just all around a miserable piece of shit that puts on a "what, me worry?" act to hide it.

Wow, so the responses here sound like I said Biden actually won the election.
Anyway, looked around and found that it does look to be almost entirely environmental.
Similarly, we argued in our initial piece that Murray was not forced to grapple sufficiently with the implications of the Flynn Effect — that is, the remarkable increase in average IQ over generational time: 18 points in the US between 1948 and 2002. These very large increases demonstrate massive, population-level, environmentally caused changes in IQ. Like adoption, the Flynn Effect remains a powerful rebuttal of the idea that IQ cannot be budged by environmental factors.
I hadn't seen this before, I'll admit I was wrong.

I was watching some documentary longer ago than I can remember and the long story short of it was that people have kids as an expression of hope for a better future. People that live in some of the worst countries in the world have the highest birthrates because hope for a better future is all they have. That's why the birthrate is plummeting in western countries and in most highly industrialized Nations because we realize we're tied to the unbreakable wheel of consumerism and there is no hope until the whole thing collapses like the Mayans.

I don’t have kids, at some point I will, I’m a bit of a natural teacher type and kids seem to like me, but I don’t think it’s going to change me, if you’re that easily changed that’s not ideal IMO.

Like folks who use the “spend time with family” excuse for not wanting to work because they are lazy or rather golf.

Ben Shapiro show episode 1382 gets into our low birthrate dilemma. Seems like the answer is to have 8-10 kids to make up for a hundred years of declining birthrate.
Nah we ll just import shit hole people from shit hole counties.

All elected officials should have to have at least (2) blood children.
