Aimpoint has always had a reputation of being extremely durable. I love the micro dot design. I want durability, I just don't know if I need "drop out of a helicopter" durability. Nice to know that it can handle it though.

I have one that's been holding zero on my 45-70 Marlin no sweat. They are tough, but I had no idea they were that tough, helicopter? I've been waiting for it to lose zero with 400 grain bullets at 2000 FPS, but I guess that's gonna be a long wait.

I used to shoot a Beowulf .50 and went through a few Eotechs. My problems ended when I put an Aimpoint on top of it. I have one Aimpoint that is so old that it's anodized blue.

ran mine on a 44 mag pistol, that usually destroys red dots fast
like the millet SP1 that lasted 8 shots
