Range Report why no ballistic apps for Windows 7 Phone phones?

Re: why no ballistic apps for win mobile phones?

Just to clarify, are you talking old school Win Mobile or Windows Phone? I'll have a new beta round out in a couple weeks for anyone running the "Mango" (v. 7.5) of Windows Phone. PM with your Windows Live ID email.

Good luck with your Android 4.0 update...should be available to a select few models in May.

So far I'm perfectly happy with Android Gingerbread 2.3.5. Shooter app gets the position from the built-in GPS chip, retrieves the current weather from Kestrel 4500 via Bluetooth, and has a good ballistic engine on top of it.

To each his own and Shooter is a great app. I was just replying to an idiot troll comment made earlier.

Re: why no ballistic apps for win mobile phones?

PDA's aside,...what about all the Java enabled non windows/smart phones?

I know LAPUA released a freeware version of the VIKING BALLISTICS software but is that the only Java enabled app?

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the full Viking Ballistics software other than the "only LE/MIL" rumours circulated a year ago???

Re: why no ballistic apps for win mobile phones?

The updated version has been submitted and should be published soon. It supports multiple profiles, yards or meters (and other metric inputs), and fixes a few issues. The manual will be available soon. The free, trial version will allow you to use all the functionality except storing multiple profiles.

Re: why no ballistic apps for win mobile phones?

An updated version is now available @ http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/a66bca34-27be-4ae1-a3be-0fb451c8486a or via the Marketplace app on your phone (search on "ballistica").

Ballistica is optimized for the small screen, touch and Windows Phone navigation. It is designed to be a fast, friendly app, particularly for field use and lightning quick firing solutions. The trial version will only save current ballistics profile or allow the user to return to a default profile. The paid version allows saving multiple profiles.

For those of you who don't have a Windows Phone but are either thinking about getting one or are just interested in an alternative take on the crusty, trusty ballistics calculator check out the manual:
