Here is the skinny...... Took this on trade from another Hide member but now want to make room for a M40A3. Former hide member took the rifle in on trade and we cannot remember who original builder was . Round count was zero since build. I shot it 3 rounds to make sure she would shoot.. My question is this.
1. Was if factory offering (marksman) from winchester with the additons to it or was it complete build from parts?? approx value????
Here is what I know.
Winchester M70 (Push Feed) with blue Clip slotted action.
two piece bases (rear is clip-slotted) Picatinny style
Redfield Palma sights with globe inserts for the front.
26" "Heavy Varmit" winchester barrel (Twist?)
Mirage band
Fiberglass stock (Maker?)with accessory rail and handstop
Leather Sling and flush swival for handstop.
Diaptor sight with additional diaopter for magnification
Clips for ammo
Hinged floorplate.
aftermarket firingpin asssembly and original one.
Adj but plate
sight bubble level...
modified bolt handle for extension
Hi-power or Palma?

All help assessing would be appreciated.. I do not use gunbroker and want to offer it to Hide members first via 4-sale or 4-trade...
All helpfull imputs appreciated.
Thank you,

Re: Winchester men needed......Opinions.

Looks like somebody like M 70s more than 700s. Assume it's a 308? Twist is probably 1 in 10. My guess is that to build it today would cost two to three large.
Trouble is that there are so many alternatives and most folks wouldn't shoot irons in any circumstances unless required to by rules of the match.
If I wanted to sell it, I'd put a scope on it and run a box of Federal GMM through it so I'd have some (hopefully) bragging size groups to post.
Here's what another company did with a stock target/vamint rifle to produce something similar. Might give you an idea what it is worth. good luck!
