When you say .35… you probably mean .351 Self Loader.

Lots of guys loved those for deer go here in VT.

Best known as the gun Frank Hamer carried. Shot the shit out of Bonnie and Clyde.

Magazines aren’t hard to find. Ammo… getting hard to find but you can handload.

But have a good time with it! They are great shooters. Generally not worth a lot so fun to learn on and they are hammers when done!

What's the back story on that? Family piece? Cheap find?

Color me wrong.... he carried the .351 and it was his favorite gun. But for Clyde, he used a Model 8 in .35 Remington and head-shotted him in the opening seconds of the ambush.

My bad! I learned something else new today. Today is an excellent day!

The one I have is 32 wsl they weren't as popular as the 35 but this will be great conversation piece nonetheless

Thanks it needs to be hot blued but don't have $ so had to settle for cold bluing myself and the project several hrs hand work Thanks to all for the thumbs up

Frank's gun was nicknamed "pear burner" as it shot out flame in low light. In S Texas durning dry times as the 1930's prickly pear cactus had the thorns burned off with pear burners so cows had something to eat.
