I picked up A new little 22 rifle recently and it shoots slot better than I was expecting it too. It's the Varmint/Target model of the Winchester Wildcat and comes with 1 5 rd. mag and 3 10 rd. mags and has a 21 " heavy bull barrel. It also has an adjustable trigger but I didn't need to do anything to it. It has the grooves to mount a scope and is also drilled and tapped. I used the grooves as I had a pair of 22 rings, and horror of horrors, I mounted a Wally World 3-9X50 Tasco scope on it. A nice shooting rifle for the price I paid, which was less than $250.00, not counting the "expensive scope" and rings I had on hand.I also like the way the safety is positioned. It's easy to operate. Just my opinion but I think this rifle would be an excellent starter rifle for anyone on a tight budget wanting to get into shooting & small game hunting. As I said in my 77/22 post I was shooting off an old picnic bench, and I am not that good a shot either.
