Thanks

Not familiar with a paper one. Pre-handheld electronic days, the Dwyer Wind Meter was pretty common. I've had mine since the mid 1980's

these help?

By old fashioned ones in America, are you talking about the wiz wheels?

If so, there’s a company in Europe (I’ll try to find them and edit this post) that sells a similar product at like twice the cost.

Are you looking for an analog calculator for converting your wind speed and direction to a Mil/MOA value? Or are you looking for something non-electronic to hold up to the wind and get a reading?

Thanks guys , bye the sound of it. Wiz Wheel fits the description, I can't find any in UK,I am looking for analog calculator for MOA , Just been told about a Dwyer wind meter for testing wind strength,

Thanks for the info will be looking at Dwyer wind meter, just been told about a wiz wheel..

A circular slide rule is what you are looking for. The Wiz wheel is an example but does more than wind but needs to be "made" with your BC and velocity, is why they have replaceable wheels.

The "Dope Disc" is an example of a windage specific one.

I'm sure there are others out there as the concept has been around for a long time and are used for other specialized tasks such as flying:

hahaha...yeah, used to use that sort of whiz wheel for flying....basically just doing vector analysis calcs.

The Dope Disk on seems to do what Mr. Master's wind rose but perhaps a bit easier of a tool to use???
