You'll probably get more responsive answers from actual users here:

Tanfoglio's 10mm Witness line has garnered a hit-or-miss reputation. Some run fine out of the box, some don't - up to and including frame-cracking. Worse, if you do get a problem gun, you'll have to deal with Tanfoglio's importer, EEA, for "customer service" - which has been widely reported as less than stellar and with lots of attitude ...

That said, the high(er) end 10mm Elite models - the Match and the Stock - are supposedly better assembled, with closer tolerances, better finish, etc. User reports have been positive (at least that I've read, which is why it may be more helpful to search for info on the 10mm-specific boards).

Just FYI, but the Match is a SA only pistol, while the Stock is a DA/SA pistol.

Re: Witness Match 10mm opinions

I have a 10mm Match, got it for $450 or so...fit and finish are mediocre, lot of sharp edges, uneven lines...i had burrs and slivers in my slide, didnt look like they were done milling! All that aside, feeds flawless, most accurate pistol I own...trigger has overtravel stop, good clean 2-stage no grit or slop...mags are good and will be compatible with the new bren ten....
I saw the thread with the cracked slide...newer models are more reinforced looking and I will admit it was a concern of mine but I've been running max loads with no ill effects yet...as always ymmv....

Re: Witness Match 10mm opinions

I have the full size witness in 10mm. Got it before they started doing the Match and Elite series. It shoots great and is way more accurate than my glocks on bulls eye type shooting. I have not shot too much of the hot stuff, expensive, but no problems with it beating itself to death.
