Just got this in about 3 weeks ago but I have already put her to work at the Bushnell Brawl. Jamie Dodson at Wolf Precision built this rifle and not only was he a pleasure to deal with, but his rifles are hammers and the fit and finish is excellent. .25 MOA with lapua brass, 140 Bergers, and H4350! The BAT action is the slickest action I have ran to date and functioned flawlessy during the Brawl even with tons of sand and muck all in the raceways and lug recess. I think Jamie/BAT hit a home run with this new tactical action. Here are the specs...

-BAT Tac Action
-Bartlein MTU @ 26" 1-8" Twist chambered in 260 Match with Surefire Brake
-Manners T4-A Mini Chassis
-Schmidt and Bender 5-25 PMII MSR MRAD
-Badger Rings
-Jewell Trigger
-Atlas Bipod V8
-Urban Flectarn by Short Bus

5 round group fired during load develoment. Seems to like 42 grain of H4350 and a 140 Berger VLD. I have (200) 139 gr Scenars so I'm going to give them a try and hopefully get them shootung at 43 grains which is what my last 260 liked with them. I'm also going to give RL 17 a try since a buddy is having good luck with it in his 260.

Even though I like the Black/gray Krypyek hydrodip, which for some reason almost has a blue-ish tint to it in photographs, I'm thinking bout having Short-Bus paint up something cool for it.

The rail and recoil lug are integral. (I type slow) I'm so close to ordering one of these, only thing holding me back is defiance's new action allowing the use of aw mags. I'm really having a tough time making my mind up. That BAT sure looks slick by the way, nice build. How was the fit with the t4-a? Did you order a standard rem 700 stock?

It dropped right in the Manners, the bolt release had to be milled out but the way I've done mine is so a Rem, Stiller , Surgeon, or BAT will drop in. I'm not 100% on the Defiance dropping in because I know the old Templars were about 1/4" longer than a standard Rem 700. I'm pretty sure Defiance's new actions are 100% drop in for Rem 700 stocks.

I think you can get BAT actions cut for aw mags

I contacted BAT Machine awhile back about setting one up to take AWs, and they weren't familiar with the magazine. I sent specs and what little info I could dig up to help explain it, but I never heard anything back. Jamie may be able to cut the action, but I ended up going a different direction and never got back with him about it. I do like the looks of that tac action, though, and love my non-tac BAT! It is the smoothest bolt I've ever run.

Thanks for the compliments guys, she is definitely my favorite that I have had over the years.

Hinton- rings are Badger Medium at 1" tall.

Pap- SO tech skid plate is the A5 model. The bigger one. A3 is very small for something like a hunting stock or HTG.

A question on the Kryptek hydro-dip pattern... I'd been looking at a couple of their patterns on a site (northwesthydroprint.com) and it intrigued me... but the sample pics they provide on that site show a big 'Kryptek' logo embedded in the pattern. The relatively few photos of long guns dipped w/ this pattern that I've been able to find don't seem to show it, but most aren't exactly close-ups either. Does the logo actually show up in the print as applied via hydro dip, or is it just something embedded in the web images for copyright protection?

There is no logo on mine anywhere, maybe it was just a section of the print that did not have it, maybe it's just not there. The guy who did mine had samples that had the logo on there, so maybe they send out samples that have the logo.

I have always found the 140gr Bergers always shoot better for me then the 139gr scenars. I think its just the overall shape of the bullet for some reason. My 260's are really not that picky.

Same here KYS, 140 VLD's shoot great at .010 off the lands in both 260's I've had. 139's are always shooters in mine as well but I'm really waiting on the 136 Scenars to come out, I think they will be perfect.

DJ480- It weighed in at 17 lbs

UPDATE- New Urban Flectarn by Branden @ Custom Gun Coatings (Short Bus). His work is flawless and looks amazing in person. Hardest part was figuring out what I wanted since he does so many sweet patterns.

I've had multiple PM's about the port cutout on the stock asking why it is angled back. The stock was originally made for a Stiller but has been modified to work with any 700 clone. Anyone looking to get a new or used Manners for a BAT can get one that was made for a Surgeon action as the bolt cutout is straight and the bolt release is located in the same position. The cutout for the bolt release might go down a 1/8" lower but is unnoticeable. If you are ordering one from Manners, they have the BAT specs for all cuts in the stock. Here is a photo showing the original stock/action combo.
