I put my 338 Lapua on paper the other day at 1000 yards to see how it was holding up with 1300 rounds down the tube. After the two groups, it now has 1305 and still holding strong with 92.0 h1000 and Berger 300 OTM's.
I shot the first 6 round group and it was a good group. There was one round off to the right a few inches. Likely the first round as the barrel was cleaned with only one fouler. I was out shooting my Mk12 testing loads so I went and shot it again for about a half hour. I kept the scope and everything else dialed the same and fired a 6 round group. It impacted right over the first group and I came up with 11 rounds in 5" at 1000 yards. Seems to still be doing great. Calipers were zeroed at .33. Too bad I had the one go a little right or it would have been 12 rounds haha. Oh well..
Just figured I'd post things since Ive read alot of threads on barrel life of these. So far, so good for me
