I know it's a vague question with a lot of variable but i could use some experienced opinions on the matter
.....i've got a Sig SSG3000 rifle that's in very good shape. I'm doing fairly well with the 6.5x47Lapua, probably running .5MOA most of the time. It's been a very reliable combination and i've gotten used to reloading for it....unfortunately it's an expensive round and sometimes i need store bought ammunition for classes etc.
Was thinking about changing out the barrel/caliber to 6.5 Creedmoor for more readily available and more reasonably priced ammunition. i'll be due for a change in the not too distant future.
All things being the same in the rifle except a barrel change of the same length and contour, made by a good gunsmith, using a good barrel manufacturer....would the accuracy/precision be as good or better with the 6.5 Creedmoor or perhaps the 6 Creedmoor?
I am hoping to shoot in the 700 to 1200 yard ranges with some frequency.
Thanks
