I'm looking for a good wood stock for my SPS, the gun shoots great but the cheap plastic stock that came on it is really flemsy, what kind of wood stock should I get? I like the look of the wood stock, that's why I'm getting one, maybe a factory take off? After market?

Boyd's makes nice stuff, mostly laminate though. If you want to go with something really nice, try Great American Gunstocks. www.gunstocks.com. I bought an exhibition grade english grip L.C. Smith stock from them last year and it was superb.

Laminates are hot. Multiple layers of cross grain woods, stained and then shaped...seal up great and are essentially weatherproof, very durable and dents etc. don't show as bad as they would on a gloss walnut stock or something similar.

This one sold already but how about this style? It's a Remington Laminate stock for the VLS

I've got the original wood stock from a 6 digit serial number (32XXXX) that I picked up for a donor action that I can part with pretty cheap... Drop me a PM if you're interested & we'll see what we can work out on price/trade options....
