So.... a little rant....
Back when WOTAC was recieving great reviews I saved up some cash and purchased a WOTAC 4-14x50 Gen4. I called Matt, talked to him a bit, was a great guy. Sent it right, and for the money thought it was a great scope! I mounted it on my remington 700 in 308. Shot it a couple of times, it always tracked well and held zero. I put it in the safe, as I was then stuck doing rotations out of town and didn't get to shoot much.
Fast foward to March of this year. I figured I needed to get some loads worked up for a couple of local competitions coming up this year. Went out and the rifle was just not shooting. I figured that it was my load development, but I am pretty OCD and very methodical when it comes to loading. It got me bugged, so went and shot some hornady match that always works well in this rifle. No go, it seemed the vertical was off. Checked the rifle out, no changes, been sitting in the safe, everything looked great.
On March 23rd I emailed Matt at Wonders Optics and asked if there was any problems with the Gen4. In a reply he didn't say anything about the Gen4's but said to send it back to him and they would check it out.
I waited two weeks as I wanted to make sure that it was the scope not the rifle so I shot it again, with the same. This time however when I stood up I heard something rattling, it seems that there was a small tube that was about 1 inch long that was rocking around in the objective, knocking against the objective lens.
Well shipped it right back like Matt suggested, let him know of the arrival. If it was not fixable I offered to pay the difference for a Falcon Scope if needed.
(FYI I mounted a borrowed scope and the rifle is back to shooting clover leafs)
Fast foward to Today... JULY 3rd!.
Multiple emails back and forth. I have offered to get a different scope, repair the one I have, or just send back my broken one so I can part it.
Matt has assured me several time that "it will ship in 24hours or I will ship it out today." I even apologized for being a pain, cause I had some shooting competitions coming. He said "no problem, we owe you a scope." He even mentioned that they could not find my old one and inquired as to what kind it was so he could replace it.
AS TO NOW.... Nothing!!!
I know, its not a pricy scope, but hey he promised several times that I would at least get something back, and I am mostly ticked due to the run around (and the fact I've missed a couple of shoots)
I am not the type who bashes anyone else, my post count is low and I usually just lurk.... but I have to admit I'm pretty irritated.
Anyone else with the same deal?
FYI, I have all the emails if anyone is interested
aaaggghhhhh!!!
