Most of the Cabela's discount codes I've seen recently exclude firearms. And 40-50% is at least 2x more than any discounts I've heard of, though maybe I've missed some. There used to be gift cards sold at $80 for $100 value gift cards but those have apparently gone away. I think your best chance would have been Seekin's 20% off Black Friday deal that is now expired.

Glad I had bought em when I could. I purchased 2 NF 7-35 scopes with those 20% discount cards + Active Junky 10% cashback, timed to one of the Cabela's club member 10% off offers. Heck of a deal. Must be why they went away.
Even with a coupon, you'll still pay more buying from Cabela's. I think there was a used one in the exchange.
