You may just find buying used isn't much cheaper than the best deal you can get brand new when talking on the phone with some of the folks that sell a lot of Vortex stuff.

I'd go for this deal before buying a used one for $1100.00 at least with the brand spanking new one, you know no one had been breathing or coughing or spit shined it or dug his nose or scratched his nutz or butt while using it you never know.
I wouldn't recommend SIG or Trijicon due to their limited 5 year electronics warranty which starts ticking down from date of manufacture not date of actual purchase so it's far less than 5 years warranty depending on how long it's been sitting in a warehouse or retailer's shelf maybe their old stock actually have zero warranty left and you don't even know it. They don't intend to repair their electronics past the limited short term warranty either and will tell you to buy their newest models which are in reality disposable throw away electronics every so many years since all electronics will and do fail. At least you end up with an expensive heavy pair binoculars after the electronics fail after their short term warranty expires and their glass aren't the best anyway so they are specifically meant for really rich people who can afford to keep on buying disposable throw away goods every couple of years if not a Vortex which is in fact a truly one time purchase for life and always receive upgrades after their failure and all electronics even Vortex electronics will and do fail and you always get free newest latest and greatest replacements and never be a victim of obsolescence. Burris also has a similar FOREVER Warranty including their electronics so even their Eliminator rangefinder riflescopes are truly a one time lifetime investment you pass down to your kids and grandkids and never worry about becoming obsolete with constant free upgrades everytime their electronics end up failing.

Bushnell is the worst only one year warranty on electronics including illuminated reticles in their scopes and people think they have a lifetime warranty but Bushnell's definition of lifetime is as little as one year.

Damn. That’s very interesting about Vortex and Burris. I knew about the others but just assumed that was across the board. That’s definitely the part that fails hence why no others cover for life. Thanks.
I'm waiting for Maven to release a rangefinder binoculars with superb glass like their current rangefinder has which seems to have the best image quality out there so far I'm a rangefinder. I already confirmed direct from Maven their electronics are also included in their lifetime warranty. The other brand I considered was GPO due to their excellent glass and got confirmation from an authorized dealer not from the source they have a lifetime warranty but their maximum distances aren't as far as Maven's.
Considering I'm going for an all in one unit, I'd like the best glass possible short of spending for a Leica which comes with a 15 year warranty. I want way better glass than what the current Vortex has to offer as well since I'm kind of snobbish when it comes to glass and prefer perfect image quality and am waiting it out instead of buying current disappointments.

With this fact in mind, the only way I'd personally even consider buying a used one is if there were a trusted seller selling am unopened BNIB one for no more than $900 maximum shipped TBH or a used one for around $800 maximum. I always look for the cheapest prices and the best deals prior to buying anything. General rule of thumb try find half price deals first that's half off of MSRP or go to Expert Voice for at least 40% off up to 70% off or call around and give your business only to the places that offer the best deals and you'd be surprised how cheap you can actually buy things for just by calling around and make a note of the places that won't ever budge on their prices and cross them off your list forever so you never bother to waste your time calling them ever again trust me you'll find at least one or two maybe three that are willing to give you huge unbelievable discounts via phone call then only buy from them in the future.
Unless you're just too rich or too lazy to even bother trying to find better deals out there and are always more than happy to keep on paying full price for everything.
