Big shout out to Clayton at West Texas Ordinance for this 300 Norma build. Received about a month ago and was waiting on a ZCO scope and better weather to put a few rounds down range. Don't have much data at this point but initially I like what I'm seeing from the quick range visit this morning as it was only about 20 degrees and a foot of snow on the ground.
Never been able to zero a scope in as few rounds as this ZCO 5-27. Basically mounted it, shot 1 at 25 yards to confirm I was on paper and 4 rounds later I was done at 100 yards. The scope itself is amazing and well worth the wait.
Purchased 50 rds of loaded ammo from Unknown Munitions running 87 grains of N570 in new Peterson brass, Federal 215M and a 250 gr A-Tip, average velocity was 2953 fps and shot a 3 round group just to see.
No pressure signs at all. Very easy bolt lift and mild recoil. Primers and cases looked great.
Rifle specs are:
Manners PRS 2
Bartlein 26.5" 1-8.4 Twist
Trigger Tech Diamond 2 Stage
Hawkins Bottom Metal
BAT HR Action
Terminator T3 Brake
ZCO 5-27x56
Again not much to go on and a lot more load testing to come but just wanted to give props to all the hands involved in this rifle.
