As far as i know there isn't a vintage selling forum on here so I'm posting this here to see if anyone is interested in a 1940s era leupold & stevens for a vintage build or something similiar. I'm sure there are guys on here with way more knowledge than me on these so feel free to chime in with any info on this.

Here I have a Leupold and Stevens plainsman. As far as i can tell it was made somewhere around 1947 and according to Leupold's site and was their first rifle scope after the war. This Bad Larry has elevation and windage adjustments near the front of the tube and even has locking turrets (I dont know what else to call them) , which is pretty cool. The Reticle is a vertical post and horizontal line. Similiar scopes I've seen online have more of a gloss finish but this one is more dull (not sure if it just hasn't been cleaned in years or what) it is in pretty good shape for 70 years old but has a few scratches and ring marks.
The markings on it are as follows

Leupold- 1286

Leupold 2 1/4x
leupold & Stevens instruments (slightly worn off)
Portland, OR
Pat Pending

Comes with old Leupold style rings and original scope caps
