Are you referring to a Syrac has block? If so I’d swap you. I’ve got an extra one laying around
Negative. It is a superlative arms. It has the choice to either block gas without a screw (like other adjustable blocks including syrac) but also has a feature where you can adjust the amount of gas you was to vent or bleed out of the block. This allows you to tune the pressure curve better as well as reduce wear and erosion on the set screw.
I have a piston drive fro my Grendel that uses the same setup on the gasblock, it is awesome. You can adjust it from barely operating to over driving it. Make tuning a load a snap.
One of best mods you can do to your rifle.I have several I got were I could not build a new rifle with out putting one on they are awesome for tuning your system and very reliable. You do have to retune your system if you change loads or powder charges but that's very easy. They also reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise as well as ware and tare on your bolt carrier. Try one and you will never look back. I prefer there piston system but they cost a bit more around 260.00.The piston driven setup works the same way only benefit is a clean bolt assembly after shooting your bolt gets 0 carbon build up and needs very little maintenance lubrication wise. Try one You will be impressed.
Well I had to call a friend who I knew would have the inside scoop. He said superlative arms made the gas block for syrac and superlative didn’t even have there own then. Syrac had some financial issues and went belly up while owing superlative money so gave them his design in payment and that there was also a tweak to the design around this time so the new style was done once it was superlatives. This is story I got when I just now called to find out what was what by someone who more then likely knows the deal but take it for what it’s worth. Hope it sheds some light on the two companies and what we can get now which is the newer design superlative.
I’ve used both. The superlative is the best gas block I’ve used period. I just need the set screw style version
