For sale: Bighorn TL2 right hand short action with magnum (0.535”) or standard (0.478”) bolt face (your choice or $850 for action + both bolt heads, pictures show magnum bolt), 1.0625” X 16 T.P.I. (1/16-16 Rem. 700 thread dia. and pitch), thick tang, and 20 MOA Picatinny rail. This is one of the early serial #s built by AJ Goddard in Brighton, Colorado. Action weighs 2 lbs and uses AICS magazines. $750 shipped to your FFL, PP F&F, Zelle, or money order preferred.

I would also be interested in various trades, in particular, but not limited to the following:

- ARC Mausingfield/Archimedes (plus cash from me)
- Defiance Anti/Anti-X long action (plus cash from me)
- Manners long action LRH stock (plus cash from me)
- Any barrel that would fit this action's Remington thread pitch, most likely a remage with barrel nut (cash to you, I'd keep the action)

To my knowledge the TL2 is a 16tpi and the Savage is a 20tpi....... like the TL3.

From my recollections there was 2 different thread patterns for the tl2. The one I have is 16tpi. Edited to add from patriot valleys website 16 and 20 tpi

Thanks ERN and Baron85 for adding some more good detail and catching my typo above (edit made), definitely not crapping on this thread. Some of the later TL2s did come in 1/16-20 TPI (Savage small shank) but this is one of the very early TL2s, so it's the Remington 1/16-16 TPI. I actually have another TL2 and it's a Savage TPI that I put a X-Caliber 223AI barrel on by myself. You could order a Remage prefit barrel from X-Caliber that would go onto this action very easily with a barrel nut. I know the Remington TPI threading isn't as highly desired as the Savage, so trying to price this one appropriately. Still a great action in all regards.

I'm not exactly sure how many rounds its had through it. I bought it here on the Hide a year ago and shot 334 rds of 7 SAUM through it. The previous owner said he had around 750 rds of 7 SAUM through another barrel that was made for it. I could ask if he had any other caliber barrels on it before that.

I have 2 TL2s and really like them. Good deal here! Elrod can spin up a shouldered barrel without sending him the action. Done it many times.
