Allow me to type folksy, folks. Ok. Ready?
Something pretty gosh-darn special happened at Ronald Reagan Airport outside of Washington DC a couple weeks back. You betcha. At 9:23am an Honor Flight carrying quite a large amount of World War II veterans landed and well, wouldn’t-ya-have-it, the person speakin’ over the PA asked that people welcome them when they landed.
It’s a small gesture that occurred, yet people from other gates started to show up. And then more. And then more. And what you’re left with is perhaps the best “flash mob” there is – a group of people who gave so much finally got the applause they deserved.
There’s a full write-up at MullerOver yet the video speaks for itself. That generation gave a lot to fight that war and the veterans really do deserve much more respect than we give them.

The smile on the face of the fellow in the wheelchair at about 3:15 shows that the crowds recognition did make the veterans happy. That is how it should be.

Awesome video! I have to agree with flyingbullseye it was very moving to watch! The WW2 Vets are becoming very few and I think the honor flight was a great thing to do to honor such great heros in our nation.
