Sidearms & Scatterguns XDM 5.25 Tactical?

Re: XDM 5.25 Tactical?

Currently the XDm has the 3.8", 4.5" and 5.25" Competition versions.

The XD line has a 5" Tactical version, 4" Service version and 3" compact.

I think their intent is to have a 5" Tactical version in the XDm line. Word is it will have different sights, trigger mods and 5" barrel.

Will it be threaded? Why else would you go from 5.25 donw to 5'. I really hope it's threaded. I really wish they would have a lot more options like glock does. I like all the difference sizes and calibers availalbe for glocks but imo they are ugly stock. That's Why I'm going to build one instead.

BTW where are you getting your info from if you don't mind me asking. I would like to see it. Or is it just rumors?

Re: XDM 5.25 Tactical?

The current XDm 5.25 is intended for competition and also has adjustable sights, etc

The Tactical is intended for LE SWAT use and most mfg's are going with 5" for that specific market.

My info comes from gun writers and publishers I do work for who often are shown prototypes, but that doesnt mean the production guns will be exactly the same.

I dont see them going with the threaded barrel, as the market is too small and fragmented, different threads and variations for suppressors and who wants to support that...

Just get a Storm Lake threaded barrel.
