The single stack sub compacts never sold well comparatively. They are still large compared to the 9mm models and people whine about the recoil.

This isnt a popular opinion in some circles, but from the tests I’ve seen hornady do in person it isn’t. With ball ammo I could see the argument for .45, but with HP it’s 6 of one half dozen of the other on the tests I’ve seen.

Some bullets expand better than others, and .45 doesn’t make up for inaccurate shooting. Unfortunately life isn’t like movies any hit doesn’t mean they drop.

There’s videos of people dropping from one 9/45 and videos of them fighting and running after being mag dumped by either. Pistols are kind of shit compared to rifles when it comes to stopping people if we are being honest, but who wants to carry a rifle everywhere?
