Anyone running one of these chassis's know if they are inletted for a 1.25" barrel? Also is the forend pretty ridged? Or does it have a lot of flex/twist?

I can make my foreend flex when trying to get my ckye pod level, but I never notice it other than that. A 1.25 should fit. My proof comp contour fits easily

Thanks guys, I am not looking to build a hunting rifle, I am looking for a super light weight, but ridged, chassis for my DI Precision Vudoo, I am trying to come in some where around 14ish pounds + or - a bit...hoping - a bit.... with an 1.25" barrel, and also trying to get the balance point as close to the muzzle end of the forearm as possible. From doing a little research and adding up weight its looking like the 4.0 is what I am looking for.

I looked at the MDT light weight chassis and don't really care for it plus I can get the 4.0 for $200-$300 cheaper, the 4.0 has the Arca rail machined into the chassis, and IMHO is a better looking chassis...I've been running heavy guns for 20ish years....Shit, I'm old....time to start shedding a little weight, and not just on the rifles LOL!!

You can probably get there with the aluminum version and save a few more bucks. I’d also add the C-6 buttstock. I’d call XLR and ask for Matt. He can help you configure the chassis how you want and XLR has a weight calculator on their website for chassis configurations.

Thank you sir, I might call Matt tomorrow and see what he has to say. The C-6 is nice but I don't want to end up Butt heavy...which is the problem with most chassis...and have to add weight to get it to balance. I never really looked at the aluminum but did see the weight calculator...I will go look at the aluminum now.

Sounds like you have a heavy barrel. You’ll probably want a little bit of weight in the rear to balance the rifle out.

We will see...I found a 4.0 Magnesium with the carbon butt stock just need to call in the morning and verify it's in stock...I am really trying to avoid the 15-20wk lead time from XLR but will call them in the morning too.
