Night Vision XLR Element/Tikka/NV Bridge

I was reading the Eotech thread and it sounds like XLR’s NV bridge is the wrong height for most 1.5” mounts/rings to line up your day scope and clip on perfectly.

Has anyone used the Element/Tikka/NV bridge combo? How far off was it if it was off? I would like to use an ARC mount but the max height I saw was 1.50”.

Is it possible for you to throw calipers on that and get a guesstimate on the difference?

I've run into this same issue with my XLR and NV hood and Impact action.

From calling XLR, the number they gave me is .375" as the height of their pic rail itself. In order to get the closest optical center with my Steiner C35 thermal clip on (which is set for the standard 1.5" rings as most clip ons are), I had to jump up to 1.73" Spurh rings, and even those are ever so slightly too low (think less than .1"), but it gets the job done and the clip on has an image adjust function to get the zero just right.

Keep in mind, the standard cheek piece on the XLR doesn't go high enough (for my head anyway) to see through the scope with that ring height, so I had to add some padding.

One thing I also considered trying is using a low profile pic rail from Ariska that is only .277" instead of XLR's .375", but when I ran the numbers even with a 1.54" Spurh it would still be further off center than if you ran the standard pic rail and the 1.73" Spurh.

I'm running into same problem, element 4.0, xlr NV bridge with their m-lok pic rail. I'm going to take the top half the NV bridge to my smith and see if he can use his mill to cut approx 0.150 off the mount. Pair that with your ariska rail suggestion that will drop my clip ir-lr thermal a quarter inch.

Sorry to revive an old thread.. but anyone able to advise me the width of the chassis for the NV bridge to fit onto?

Trying to figure out if it will fit on my Vision Hybrid
