With heavy being the new sexy in precision rifles, here’s a look at XLR’s update to the Envy. It now features a removable steel spine that adds 20oz. to the chassis and extends past the forend 2.75". It comes standard with both a 2.5" Dovetail and Picatinny rail for mounting accessories further forward.

They also released the Mercury Recoil Suppressor/Weight that fits inside XLR butt stock tube. Hope to get my hands on one soon to try out.

I have an earlier generation, love it, just tried the weights for the foregrip and think it's a nice addition. Also gives you something to press into barricades other than the scope bell.

Just built mine. Going to have to either buy the solid buffer tube or the mercury recoil reducer. Its definitely front heavy.

I went with the mercury tube to help balance the rifle. Big improvement in recoil, no. It has the same effect of adding weight else where on the chassis. I believe the mercury part is a benefit on 6.5 and larger calibers. On the 6.5CM, the mercury part helps to smooth out the recoil impulse to more of a push than a punch.
