crawl into it and pull it in after you. I've been watching this story, as we all have, no doubt. Today, on top of the bombing in Boston, sequester, kids getting suspended for assault pencils, crooked Politian's, and on and on I feel like I just want to run away to some place else....but where do you go? Nowhere. I'm getting so tired of all this crap in this world I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm sure its always gone on but you just hear so much....Sorry guys, don't mean to be too down but this is a good place to come sometimes if just to let it out to brothers who understand.

Police search the Cleveland house where the three missing women were found. (David Maxwell)

The Cleveland home where three women were allegedly held captive for nearly a decade had ropes, chains and padlocked doors inside, police say.

"They were bound," Cleveland Police Chief Michael McGrath told NBC's "Today" show. McGrath said the women—Knight, now 32, Amanda Berry, 27, and Gina DeJesus, 23—were held with chains and ropes, and allowed outside only “once in a while." They were found at the home on Monday.

Photos obtained by London's Daily Mail from suspect Ariel Castro's son Anthony show padlocked doors leading to the basement, attic and garage. In one photo from 2001, Ariel Castro is seen standing in his kitchen in front of one of the padlocked doors. Knight went missing the year before.

Ariel Castro, 52, and brothers Pedro, 54, and Onil, 50, were arrested on Monday, suspected of kidnapping the women and holding them captive inside the home. A 6-year-old girl believed to be Berry's daughter was also found there.

"If it's true that he took [Berry] captive and forced her into having sex with him and having his child and keeping her hidden and keeping them from sunlight, he really took those girls' lives," Anthony Castro told the newspaper. "He doesn't deserve to have his own life anymore. He deserves to be behind bars for the rest of his life. I'm just thankful they're alive."

The son, who said he was not close to his father and that Ariel had abused his mother before the couple separated, recalled that "the house was always locked."

"There were places we could never go," he said. "There were locks on the basement. Locks on the attic. Locks on the garage."

Charles Ramsey, the neighbor who helped free the women, said the front door appeared to have an elaborate lock on it, too.

"I'm trying to get the door open, I can't, because he torture-chambered it some kind of way and locked it up," Ramsey told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Tuesday. "So I did what I had to do and kicked the bottom of the door, and she crawled out of it."

Investigators removed the door on Tuesday along with other evidence from inside the house, and cadaver dogs were used to search for the remains of other potential victims.

The media is only in it for the ratings, even Fox news has fell into this trap time and time again. The world is a better place than they (media/agenda presenters) portray, but good does not sell. The only time you see good is when they can't fill the time slot with bad.
The bulk of the people of this world, have changed little, but a very small segment of them is what you hear about everyday. Tics have to have something to rally against, otherwise they would be out of a job. If there is not a problem standby, they will create one and convince you only they have the answer. Which always seems to involve more money from you to them, or the system.
If everyone would shut off the TV for a month or so, things would change. The news at this house is via Ham radio or A/M F/M, we don't watch the state run, media agenda, presenters. Funny how life changes once you tune them out.

We were a Nielson family for many, many years in Fla and here in Alabama. Now most (if not all) of it is done via your cable or sat box w/o you even knowing it. Turning them out gets their attention, trust me.

I saw/heard a recording of the actual 911 call on Hannity. The 911 Operator acted like she had something better to do and needed to get off the phone. WTF! I know where I live in an actual emergency or serious crime the 911 operators stay on the line till the police get there.

Sadly, a tiny fraction of humans have acted this way throughout all of history. However in the internet age, every terrible tragedy from all over the globe is right in our faces. The only comforting thing is that even today the vast majority of people are still good people, IMO.

Maggot needs a laugh so I will tell a story about what I have noticed in the Cleveland ordeal.
20 years ago I moved to the mountains of east TN. I had heard lots of stories about the people there. I even watched the movie deliverance, which was filmed there. After setting up a homestead there I noticed that every time a disaster happened, car crashes into house, house fire, flooding or the such, the news would interview the dumbest hillbilly at hand. I oftened wondered if the asked the guy or woman how many teeth they had before they put them on camera. It wasn't long before I realized that that was not necessary because the toothless wonders are the norm. It's like living in a land of Jack o lanterns. It seems like the only dental work done around there is pulling teeth. Wait till they rot and pull them out must be the rule. So today I see several of the neighbors being interviewed about the kidnappings. After about the fifth person I realized hey this is not Cleveland TN. but Cleveland OH. WTF are they related?? Or is the number of teeth rule apply in Ohio? The people I have seen on the news are a real cast of city billys. They guy with 3 teeth and chewing gum had me rolling on the floor today. I told the wife he must be a transplant. But he talks funny was her comment.

Yeah I did need a laugh...lost a couple of friends lately, and my last source of income went belly up recently. 63 and I don't know what the next step is. Guess I'm feeling generally crappy today.

I remember recently hearing an interview with a former N. Korean agent who had bombed an airplane or something, got caught, then felt remorse and went and talked with the family. The one thing I remember from the interview, after talking about the horrors of living there, is her saying, "Why did I have to be born in N. Korea?" Things could always be worse.

At 63 you have ridden this roller coaster a couple times. The one in the 70's. The one in the 80's, 90's, 2000 something, and now. This one seems like the biggest so far. But above every valley is a mountain top. We don't know how the hell we will ever climb that hill again, just gotta go one step at a time.
I am self employed. Since the day I quit my job and started my business I have said "self employed and unemployed is a very fine line" . Oh yeah, I did build it!! Ask my wife and kids who thought I was just some guy that slept for 5 hours a night in their house for the first 6 years.

Dude, shit is fucked up all over and you aren't the only one getting tired of it. It is all over the 'net. Problem is WE THE PEOPLE are divided and THEY THE POLITICIANS have circled the wagons. They don't work for us anymore and that is main problem. I sort of keep tabs on news shit being disabled with not much else to do, and I can tell you that all three national outlets have very drawn out agendas. CNN mostly flip flops though, depending on ratings (not that they are any better than the other two. They cooled down some of that gun ban shit when they realized their ratings were suffering. Not that anything really changed, they just wanted to be "on the winning side". Which is the problem. News shouldn't be delivered with an expectation of gaining the viewers support.

For instance. This gun ban shit. Obama et. al. told us how bad shit was going, but it turns out gun homicides are down from around 33,000 in '93 to 11,000 in '11. This is with fewer weapons and a smaller overall population. Yet to hear them tell it, it sounds the other way around, no?

The sex dungeon and circumstances regarding this case is, to hear the FBI tell it, VERY rare. But they pull up Smart and Dugar and then it seems like 1 in 100 have been victims... Still, I feel so bad for those girls, and I fully sympathize with the neighbor (an obviously not-rich fellow who said, "Don't send me the reward, send it to those girls!" and "Had I known what was going on in there, we'd be having a different conversation right now and I'd be facing triple murder." and my personal favorite, "You know something is wrong when a pretty white girl runs into the arms of a black guy, either she homeless, or she got problems.") Truth be told, there are a helluva lot more Charles Ramsey's than there are Ariel Castro's. Thank god for that.

Hell, my neighbor told me if he hears my alarm sound, he'll respond himself (he won't have a choice at the wattage I have wired in anyway) and I likewise. (He being a NM competitor and me a former SDM instructor, this little 5 acre spot isn't the best place to play fuck-fuck games.) He also helped me look for my dog until after midnight one night, dude must have walked 15 miles and wore out his vocal cords. All my neighbors have been like this all my life, save in an apartment complex, which is like living in an internet forum. Yeah, more good folks than bad.

Boston bombing? One member here summed it up: "What is wrong with this country when a 19yo kid with a handgun and some low grade homemade explosives can shut down a major US city?" What else is there to say about that?

Also, as someone who studied math at university, when you hear reporters use terms like "percent" or "statistics show" or "mathematically speaking" they are talking shit and trying to sound smart. Think about it. Think about how stupid they sound about recognition of firearms, an easily brushed up on subject, and then compare that to 4-8 years of college required for a math/probability/statistics major/minor. I recall journalism classes, and most liberal arts classes, being packed, but my math classes got smaller and smaller... down to FIVE students for one quarter by year 4. Statistics don't mean a goddamn thing without seeing the raw data, and if they showed you that, you probably wouldn't need to do the math to realize it is bullshit.

BTW, nobody EVER called me to ask me about my stance on ANY issue. They usually call locations according to demographic reports in order to fix a predictable answer, so gun ban shit will usually only be polled in anti locations. I used to pull demographic reports to determine best office locations for a security company. It wasn't lost on me the value of that information --it basically told us where to sell alarms, that and the police blotter. These "statistics" are just a very, VERY clever way of manipulating you into groupthink, and to think what you have been told is true, and to instill in you that you aren't part of the cool crowd if you don't drink the Koolaid.

I take offense to this as I am a dentist in Cleveland, Tn. :)

tansinator, Then you know I speak the truth. You can't force them into the chair for yearly check ups. I have had many people say they are having a problem with a tooth but I will wait and get it pulled later. $75 for an extraction I can afford that. I saw a guy pull his own tooth with a pair of pliers on a job sight one day. Spit some blood and back to work. Sorry your not the favorite person to see on the mountain. I bet you can't look at an ash tray with about 6 or 7 half smoked butts in it. remind you of work too much.

I think everybody gets to feeling this way at times.some of maggots post have cracked a smile on my face on some of these shitty days. Thanks mag and remember "tough times don't last, but tough people do"!

Had a good thing happen on the way home tonite. Stopped into a Sweet Frogs Frozen Yogurt and had some desert. There was a nice young family with a young son and a 2 year old little girl...Had "I am 2" on here T shirt. It must have been her birthday and she was just wide open and full of it. Just beautiful...came running up to me and gave me a big smile. As I sat and just kind of watched them a quote came to my mind "Except that you become as little children........" Don't remember the author. On the way out I stopped and told them what seeing their daughter had done for me. Kinda get this nice feeling when I think about it.

911 Operator:"We will get a car there as soon as we have one available" in her sedated, I could be doing something better like having my nails done while smokin a black and mild voice.
Cleveland, like Detroit, Chicago, and many other cities is not only bankrupt, but morally bankrupt as well. The apathetic day to day dealings with true emergency as mundane things has made these cities places that should really be scorched to the ground and rebuilt, including their denizens along with the buildings. Fence it all in, drop napalm on it, and walk away...
