Rifle Scopes Your optic choice!

Re: Your optic choice!

S&B 5-25x56 PMII with P4F reticle. Have used many others and love this scope. Been using one for about 3 almost 4 years now and got a new one earlier this year.

I don’t think anyone makes rigs for it though. And you better get the SFP version otherwise the reticule will be non-existent at low power and will be all you see at high power. Great for those 1000 light year shots though.

Until they make a usable lit reticle and zero stops, the S&B is a better choice than the hubble. Its also a little heavy.

Re: Your optic choice!

For .308 shooting it'd be the Hensoldt 3-12x56 FFP or the Premier 3-15x50 DT Gen 2 Mil-Dot.

For .300WM or higher, it'd be Premier 5-25X56 DT Gen 2 XR or Hensoldt 6-24X74 (I'm assuming for really long range shooting 1,500yds plus).

Re: Your optic choice!

I would like to take the best features from several of the top scopes. Start with a S&B PM II 5-25x56, add USO's MIL GAP reticle with red illumination, and Hensoldt quality glass, and I would have the Reticle illumination knob incorporated into the focus knob like Premier does.

That would my perfect scope.

The 22lr wears a USO 10X SN-3 37mm obj
For .308 I went 17X SN-3 44mm obj
The 300wm wears a 22X SN-3 an 58mm obj

Yes, but I don't think I count as I've just recently been able to afford my first NF scope. Absolutely love it, but if price wasn't an issue I would propably join ranks with the S&B fans. Two reasons, better glass and the fact that NF only offers FFP on the 3,5-15 model.

Re: Your optic choice!

From what I've seen and used....USO or NF.

I've looked through S&B's and wasn't impressed.

Never even seen a PH.

Swarovski's are exceptional glass...if you can get one with a tactical reticle.
Zeiss is right up there as well...but I'm not even thinking about the price tag on the higher end stuff. The Conquest is as rich as my blood can get with that name.

Re: Your optic choice!

I would love to have another NF NXS 5.5-22x50 Mildot, but I don't want to go the same route again to get one... especially since I am married now.

Re: Your optic choice!

Either Hensodlt 4-16 or USO 3.2-17 with Horus reticle h25, 27, or 37. You really don't need magnification higher than that. And with those reticles holdoffs are too easy and accurate. Now if Horus could only pull their heads out and send optic makers god reticles................

Re: Your optic choice!

I wanna put my EREK, leftside windage and illuminated MPR Reticle on an S&B 5-25 and still get a USO Girls Calendar... I wonder how much its gonna cost?

You are SPOT on.

I'd do the same, but differently. I'd put the Milestone and left side windage on a Premier 5.5-22x with 50mm ERGO Obj.

No chance, regarless of how much it would cost, of that.

In the world of reality, PH gets my vote. But I've never had a Hensoldt.

A USO on a .22lr ?? What is the .22 used for? That's a lot of scope for a .22
