I did a search and did not find a review on this, so I thought I would give my humble opinion about the Zeiss Dialyt Spotter, which I recently purchased about a month ago.
Magnification: 18-45x
Lens Diameter: 65mm
Nitrogen purged: Yes

I think this is an excellent spotting scope that is reasonably sized to actually use in the field. There are many other very large tripod mounted spotting scopes out there with great imaging, but are too big to pack. This scope is a good compromise of size or portability vs. magnification and lens size. If you don't need a reticle spotting scope, then this is a great choice and arguably, at least in my opinion, one of the best choices on the market.
The magnification adjusts easily by twisting the lens objective on the proximal end or the side closest to the eye. The magnification numbers are clearly visible and well marked in white numbers. Parallax or focus is adjusted by twisting the most distal end or the side distal from the eye. The magnification and parallax adjustments turn very smooth and nicely. I really like the way this is set up, and prefer this to a side adjustment. The straight tube is great for field use because it is very fast to get on target vs. an angled tube. For higher magnifications, a tripod is preferred but not absolutely necessary, if you lean against a tree using it to support the scope, this is acceptable.
The protective rubber armor coating is very nice and seems a little thicker than what they have on their Victory binoculars, but are of the same great quality. This seems to add a lot of durability, but I’m not going to do any crazy testing to find out though.
The lens covers are rubber and grip well and stay on. They are attached to a shoulder strap and can be removed from the scope, and stay attached by the strap…quick on and off, nice and smart design.
The bottom of the spotting scope has a screw base that you can attach a tripod mount to easily.
Image quality is awesome and extremely clear...more to follow about image quality in detail.
Please feel free to add your thoughts if you own this spotting scope..
