Zelle? Safe

If I'm not buying from a retail store, I won't use any form of digital payment because it doesn't offer any protections to the buyer. I'd pay using USPS money order, personal check, or cash Face to Face. There's nothing I need so bad that I'd compromise for a seller who won't be flexible about type of payment. YMMV

I basically only use Zelle for family or friends that are already in my contact list. I will use it in a face to face transaction after I have the merchandise as well. Thats it.

no way in hell im using Zelle for some random ass online transaction...

Depends on what you mean by safe

Using Zelle is an instant and permanent transfer of your funds with no go backs or ooopsies or margin for error.

Similar to Venmo, Cash App, etc except the government charging of taxes for over $600 transactions does not happen with Zelle. Zelle is more classified as an account to account transfer similar to ACH

It is safe if you know what you are doing and don't make mistakes. It isn't any easier to hack than any other online system.

Credit cards are absolutely safer and offer additional benefits.

Zelle is quite safe actually.
Probably the safest payment method of all the electronic payment methods for a seller.

It works well and unlike PayPal doesn't report to the IRS.

I've used it many times and it works well.

Do a bit of your own research and make sure you know who you are sending payment to.

As I always suggest, insist on a quick video chat regardless of if you are the buyer or seller and you'll save so much trouble.

You can still get scammed as a buyer, a seller has hardly any risks if he is receiving funds prior to shipping.

I have been very fortunate on here at SH with big money items $1k to 2k.

The only drawback I had was I could only send 1k per day, but the buyers worked with me.

I've used it plenty on here both as a buyer and seller. It's as safe as anything other digital payments. I rarely have people pay with PayPal good and service even though I offer it as a choice when selling.

Is it safe?

It’s safe from the perspective of security. I only have one very small account that has Zelle linked. So I’m limited in what I buy.
Also it severely limits my ability to buy high dollar items with a daily limit that is lower than anything else I have.

Tip thyme:

Go to Wally World and buy one of those cheesy mastercard/visa cash cards, only like $3-5 or something, dirt cheap insurance.
Put about $10 more than what you want to spend on whatever the item is.
You no longer have to worry about them fuxoring your bank account like they can all do when you link paypal/zelle/google pay/apple pay/cash app....whatever.
You might end up getting ripped off, but not for your whole accounts contents.

Yer welx.

BTW, I do this every time I have to buy something over say $100'ish from Scamazon or whatever ammo site I'm buying too much ammo from.
Never once had an issue.
3-5% (or less as the amount goes up) is the cheapest insurance I know of.

I didn’t know what Zelle even was until I got a notice from my bank on an account transfer out of my savings account to a Zelle account and then to some woman. I called the bank and said WTF is a Zelle? They looked into it with their fraud division and did whatever the fuck and I got my money back into my savings account. I have 2 part authentication for my bank accounts and a 1000.00 verbal approval notification for any transfers so how someone opened a Zelle account off my account and transferred money to some cunt blew me away. I had PayPal for a few transfers but shut that down when they went Nazi a few years ago.
