Anyone running a 420 with ARC low rings (.94)? I have a bighorn origin action with 20moa factory rail and a proof steel savage small shank barrel. Based on my calculations it should clear by 4.5mm without caps. Also for those running arc rings are y’all torquing them to 55inch lbs ?

It will fit. I'm using M10 low rings with 30moa rail, with sunshade, TL3 action. 1.25" straight contour bbl. Have to use Butler creek front caps.

I picked up a 840 from CS this past summer and was asked to share some of the pics I had.

Here is a picture of a grain bin at 1200 yards. It was an overcast day. Thru the scope I could see that purplish hue that pigeons have on their feathers.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, here is a dandelion with the head popped off at 15 yards with 40x. Through the scope I could see the veins in the stalk of the dandelion. I was not able to get camera focused to see the image like it was through the scope.

Here is a Stop sign at 3912 yards at 40x, near dusk, on a hot humid summer evening. There was a 10-12mph crosswind that was pushing the thick humid air horizontally across my view, but I was still able to read STOP.

The camera pics don't do this scope justice of what this scope can do in real life.

I also have pics at various mag settings. I'll post over on the reticle thread. In case anyone wants to compare FOV to the 420 & 527 (post #86, 87, & 88). The 840 is at post #122 It's the same grain bin at 1200 yds. https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...es-march-vortex-and-more.6926480/post-9667560
