6arc bolt gun

If you were building a 6arc bolt gun, what barrel length and twist rate would you go for on a dedicated coyote rifle? Majority of my shots are 80 to 150, i don’t think I’ll ever be able to shoot past 300 in my area.

Is there any good factory ammunition? I llike to keep the nicer pelts so big holes aren’t desired.

I won a custom bolt action rifle and I’m drawn to the 6arc (and 22creed)

Area 419 Zero Press And Reloading Info

I have never reloaded at all but want to start somewhat soon, at least start buying some of the required items. I'll most likely buy some of the bigger expense items over a few months.

I've noticed the Area 419 press is sold out on their website. Is this pretty normal or are there any rumors they are about to update it? I'm eligible for the veteran discount so prefer to order it from them unless there are better alternatives. I know there are cheaper alternatives but I've pretty much decided on the Area 419 press.

Another question, is there a good website to order some the supplies such as powder? I want to start buying some of the items soon. I'm in Texas, near Houston, if that matters.

Three Mother$%#*ing leftiist run states... almost a half billion dollars in fraud

NY, CA and Mass... Motherfuckers are paying off illegal voters and flooding their states economies with stolen taxpayer cash... With outright fraud.

So... when do state officials and politicians (like Elizabeth Warren and Gavin Newsome and that Hochul bitch) get arrested... tried and sent to jail?

Soon, please? That's almost half a billion dollars. Billion. With a B. That is real %$##ing money. As I just got my tax bill today... and it is the equivalent of 3 annual gross household incomes here in Vermontistan... I get pissed when I think of the fucking commies stealing all of it.... and your taxes, too, to fund their socialist dream state bullshit.

I want people in jail! In fucking jail! And raped while in jail. With no lube.

SOLD Winchester 70 Coyote .243

I'm listing for sale a very nice Winchester model 70 "Coyote" in .243. I am the second owner of this rifle and have owned it for about 5 years now, I have probably only put 50 rounds through it or less since then. I don't know the total round count but judging by its condition, maybe a couple hundred rounds fired at most. It has some handling marks and cosmetic flaws, but nothing I would consider major or anything that affects function at all. I've tried to picture the flawed areas best I can with the photos. The last time I shot it, I had fired some handloads for another 243 I worked up and this one was shooting them pretty well. If I remember right, just under 1" at 100 yards. The trigger is heavy though and could use some work. Someone that has the time to tinker with it will have this rifle shooting great. I am asking $950 shipped for the rifle with Leupold bases and rings (lapped). I would sell rifle and VX-3 3.5-10x40 duplex for $1350 shipped. FFL must accept from individual. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for looking!

Edited to add: Decided since I had the rifle out I'd take her for one last spin. shot a few rounds of hornady 95 gr and the results were not impressive, but the barrel was clean and may not have been fouled right away. After the Hornady I sent 4 of my handloads downrange and was able to print a pretty impressive 4 shot group at 100 yards.

S. Carolina executes 2nd death row inmate in 5 weeks by firing squad.

He chose the method of execution over the chair and lethal injection. He may have chose poorly because apparently it wasn't as quick and painless as he'd hoped for.

They should have fired blanks the first time and after the laughter said "Ok, sorry. We'll get serious."

He also got to choose his final meal and ran up a pretty good tab. I would have chosen All you can eat beef ribs and kept asking for more. I can eat a lot of ribs.

R/CombatFootage

Anyone watch any of this stuff on Reddit? It's crazy.

All of the footage they show in Ukraine is so bizarre with all of the drone use. For someone who holds a sense of regret for not going into the military, I could not imagine fighting today if this is truly what things have come to.

The whole thing is camera footage of drones just taking out soldiers on foot. As a foot soldier, you literally have no chance of hiding anywhere. Forget running and gunning, these guys are on camera trying to hide from someone behind a screen with a remote just hunting them down with a drone in the sky.

If it's actually real, it is scary AF and also cannot imagine how someone can voluntarily sign up to be in those fields. It just looks like you have 0 chance of anything.

Craddock Precision Bartlein SR25?

I got my hands on one of the Troy Industries upper receivers they created for the M110 replacement solicitation. It fits my SR25 lower perfectly. I also randomly have a SR25 URX4 15" rail sitting around. I have been pondering ordering a 16" Bartlein 6.5 Creedmoor barrel from Craddock Precision. I have a Bartlein on a 6.5 bolt gun that shoots lights out. I have no experience with Craddock Precision.

I am looking for the Hide's thoughts on Craddock Precision and if we think the juice is worth the squeeze on Bartlein gas gun barrels.

What upper receivers are you guys using to get a good thermal fit?

Until recently, my goto stripped upper receiver was the BCM blems. A while back, I ordered half a dozen of them. They all worked fine for various rigs and provided a good thermal fit. When I ran out, I ordered 3 more.

Of those 3, two were unusable. One was so tight that I couldn't even get the lapping jig in, much less the barrel, even with liberal use of a torch. Once I got things together, it shot like crap. Gotta imagine there was a whole lot of stress.

On the other, the charging handle, no matter which I used, kept reciprocating.

So, what else is being used to get a good thermal fit?

Look what Maggot just found.

I had been wanting a lever action rifle because...lever actions are cool. Lusted after the new S&W 1854 in 44 Mag. but the 44 isnt that great of long range cartridge.

And I'd been wanting aa .22 because...affordable (unless you get really serious), but I hate the cheaper new Savage's and Ruger's, mostly short barrels and the mags are expensive, cheezy, and dont last well...in my experience.

So I was a bit stumped, and then I stumbled across the:

Marlin 39 A, lever action .22 caliber. 24" barrel and great holy moly no mag, reliably tube fed. Made in 1941 in what I'd call overall good condition. Small spot of rust on the receiver but other than that good to very good. I got a deal because everybody was afraid of the rust. May just be an abrasion or somebody tried to sand it. Dosent concern me, for me this isnt a collector, its a shooter. The funny looking line in front of the receiver is really a finely fitted machine work, just shows up bad in the photo, maybe the flash. Range day tomorrow.

If you know anything about these, wisdom welcomed.
