Same old rolling hunk of crap I’ve been working on.
The top picture is as found in the barn after sitting for 24 years.

The plastic brake fluid bottle that’s been cut in half and hanging underneath the master cylinder to catch the leaking brake fluid.
That was some fine logger engineering right there.

7-08 vs 7 SAW vs 7CM vs ? for Large Frame

I have a 7mm-08 with an 18” Wilaon barrel. Still working up a load for it, so no amazing groups to show for it.

I have shot excellent groups in large frame ARs in .308, so 1MOA or better is absolutely feasible.

I haven’t seen Lapua brass for the ‘08, or the other calibers you mentioned, but I suppose you can form them from .Lapua .308, 6.5CM brass as needed.

My advise would be to get a 20” to 22” barrel as the 7mms do very well in longer barrels. Expect a loss of about 30-35ft/s per inch of length.

"Due to loss of income"
Just weeks after DOGE shut down a shit ton of money mysteriously leaving the treasury to very convoluted and complex shell corps, non profits and NGOs. Hmmm..... just a coincidence.
I mean...they immediately traced that 2.6 mil a year that Obama has been pulling down in free Pepsi money.

Single stage reloading bench?

I did something similar for years with a Craftsman rolling tool chest and it worked well. I used an Inline Fabrication quick change mount for enough elevation to clear the front drawers. One thing you might run into is that there is probably going to be enough play in the wheels that the whole chest will rock a bit as you are working the press. I ran into this and got rubber chocks that I just forced under each side of the base of the tool chest to stabilize it.

Due to the vibration you are probably going to need a second rolling chest or table for your powder measuring scale if you plan on running the press at the same time you are measuring charges.

1885 High Wall warms the heart on a rainy March day.

The firms of Aldo Uberti and Davide Pedersoli, both of 'Gun Valley' in Brescia, Italy, are almost equals in the expertise of black powder cartridge rifle crafting, but Uberti is hands down the absolute greatest in the game when it comes to American big bore falling blocks and repeaters from 1865 to 1890. Uberti's 1885 High Wall in .45-70 Ol' Straightwall is the apex blend of modern craftsmanship and one of John M. Browning's most robust action designs.

New Build: Custom Radian 22" Bartlein 6 ARC

In this thread
I haven’t tried TAC but it could work, Staball match too. They’re a bit on the faster side so probably be a better match with a shorter/lighter bullet or a mono.

With the Factory Hornady Black 105's I average 2656 FPS and a SD of 14 out of the 22" 4 Groove Bartlein, I only shot one box today so im sure it's a safe bet to say she might speed up. Next outing I'll throw a can on as well.

Oh! And in this thread Opinions are like Titties, I want to see them all. Feel free to share your thoughts on the build or any requests.

Georgia gun shop ?

Georgia Gun Store?

I’ve seen the deals on their site and they seem too good. When I called them, I got a bad vibe so skipped them. They claim most of their guns are in a warehouse at a different location. I got the feeling that you buy, they order, then you go pick it up. No thanks.

It isn’t worth the hour and a half ride to go to their location to find out. There are other shops local to me. Maybe we’re talking about different shops.
