Cadex 375

Just don’t expect your speeds to live up to all of the hype. Some of it yes all of it, no

You are limited to one brass manufacturer with that

I select my cartridges in part based on availability of brass from the best manufacturers and Lapua 338 brass is spectacular, but if you’re really trying to go to the distance…

What distance are you reaching for?

Something like this 30-inch 2050 yard target I set up today?

CHINA IS F###ED

Maxwell

On today's episode...

Found this on an old post on Rimfire central. It would appear yours is pre 1960 and probably pre model 64 designation.

The catalog description of the KK Junior, 1402, early 1403 and possibly the early SA 64 was "The Anschutz Model (KK Junior, 1402, 1403 etc) Junior Match Rifle is the first truly match grade rifle yet produced for youthful shooters or adults of small stature"

I do not know exactly when these models started but the KK Junior was up to the early 60s, the 1402 from early 60s to mid 60s, the 1403 and SA 64 mid 60s onwards. The CIL 190 in Canada was a slightly lighter version of the SA 64 from the mid 60s to, I think, sometime in the 70s when it went back to being a 1403.”

The Problem With Pam Bondi

Still waiting on those Epstine files - been waiting since Blondie was FL AG.

Pam Bondi was part of the Florida Coverup Crew- along with Alexander Acosta and Bill Barr (on the client side).

Acosta was given Labor Secretary during Trump 45, and Barr was given Attorney General.

Now it's Bodi's turn to collect her reward as Attorney General during Trump 47.

...and if Trump is successful in scamming a "third term," I wouldn't be surprised if Jeffrey Epstein himself flew in from Tel Aviv to be the next US Attorney General.

Sig Kilo 8k??? Don’t sell your PLRF

I got this for a hunting trip since my PLRF15 is too big and heavy, and I wanted the applied ballistic solution in it to save some steps between ranging and shooting. As regards the unit itself, I am very pleased with the software and the interface, and all of that, the clunky wind direction controls, not withstanding.

But don’t y’all fall for the 8K advertising nonsense.

It don’t matter if it can range a 2,000,000gallon water tower at 5 miles in the middle of the night.

Out here in the Utah desert on a calm spring day, I can’t get the thing to Range anything around me over 1800 yards in real world sloping terrain on this beautiful sunny day

I just thought you should know

And you want that case in your rifle's chamber over the long haul? No thanks.
I dint believe it would fail under pressure. I may have been stingy, stinge, stingey, stingee? With the lube or something. Yanked that sucker off on the return stroke.

Honestly I'm not sure you couldn't accomplish the same thing with alpha brass that the hybrids are getting me. I went hard on them at first but then I just settled on 45gr of varget under a 175-180gr bullet. Same load in lapua lrp brass leaves a pretty good ejector mark and is very compressed. Strangley enough, velocity is about the same.

I have 338375 and 50 BMG. Not trying to talk you out of anything, but a 338 especially an improved version with a long barrel will get you most of the way to 375 and it’s easier to shoot easier to suppress and easier on the pocketbook

But yeah, if you’re gonna make the next step up 375 is the way to go especially now that Peterson has the brass dialed and there are so many bullet options for it

Also, check out the Desert Tech rifle. They are superbly accurate and the cheapest way to get into it and then you’re not stuck with 375 you can buy a 50 bolt and barrel, if you wanna screw around with that and swap it out and still use the same scope. And other than the CADEX, they are one of the only magazine fed options, and their magazine has a very long overall internal length.

.308 Winchester

So I picked up 100 of these and formed them to 308. The first few I mandreled up to 7mm then stuffed them in a hornady 308 die. I think I did twenty that way just to try a few for my initial loading.

The rest of them got lubed up with imperial sizing wax and crammed straight into the hornady 308 die. Just recently made the switch to the RCBS dies.

These initial 100 cases I bought are on their fourth firing, preparing for the fifth. Thats been the only one that has given any issue thus far.

Annealed and full length sized every time. Expander ball is polished down to about .304", barely drags when it comes back through the sized case. I use a Wilson mandrel to finish sizing the neck. Imperial lube only.
